Sunday Dinner
- The Novak family is very busy. Mark, the father, is a nurse and often works at night. Eva, the mother, has a small café. Their son, Daniel, is sixteen. He has school, football and a lot of homework. His sister, Lina, is twelve. She plays the piano.
- From Monday to Saturday, the family doesn't eat together. Everyone eats at a different time, often with a phone or in front of the TV.
- But Sunday is different. On Sunday evening, everyone is at home, and the family has one rule: no phones at the table. The phones stay in a box in the kitchen.
- Every week, a different person cooks. This Sunday, it is Daniel's turn. He is making pasta with tomatoes and cheese. The pasta is a little hard, but nobody says anything.
- They eat, talk and laugh for two hours. Lina talks about her new teacher. Mark tells a funny story from the hospital. "This is my favourite time of the week," Eva says. Daniel agrees, but after dinner he wants his phone back.
