Leo is thirty-two and works in an office in the city centre. Every morning, he takes the number 7 bus to work. The trip is twenty-five minutes. He listens to music on his headphones.

The bus is always full, and the people are often the same: a student with a big green bag, an old man with a newspaper and a woman with a baby. The driver is a tall woman with grey hair. Nobody talks. Everybody is tired.

One Monday, it is raining and the bus is late. People are cold and wet. Then the driver turns on the radio. "Good morning, everybody!" she says. "It's a bad day, I know. But this is a good song!"

The old man laughs. The student starts to sing. Leo takes off his headphones and says hello to the woman next to him. Her name is Sara, and she works near his office.

Now the number 7 bus is different. People say "Good morning" and talk. The trip is still twenty-five minutes, but now it is Leo's favourite part of the day.
